Defense Medical Exam (DME) Attendance
California law allows one other person to attend a DME (AKA IME) with a client. Defense counsel relies heavily on DMEs in order to dispute the severity of a claim. We will review the medical report submitted by the Doctor who was hired by the Defense, and compare it to the report written, and audio recording(s) which were made by the attending nurse, citing differences, omissions, and/or any other discrepancies. (All comments about what was observed and documented are made from a nursing perspective. Any medical determinations are to be made by physicians.)
